For Readers

ACCESS TO THE SITE

The Cross-Currents e-journal and web site are gratis open access. Enjoy!

To participate in online discussions and leave feedback on the journal’s content, users are simply required to register by unambiguously identifying themselves with their first and last names, their geographic location, and a valid email address.

LOGIN/REGISTER

To register with Cross-Currents, click here

If you are already a registered user, please click here to log in.

Registration, which is strictly voluntary, allows readers to post comments about articles. The names and locations of users who leave comments will be made public on the e-journal website (online discussions and feedback may not be anonymous), but email addresses are kept confidential by the Cross-Currents staff. We reserve the right to suspend the privileges of any registered user and delete any postings added under a false name.

POSTING & VIEWING YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT ARTICLES

The Cross-Currents e-journal web site offers readers the ability to leave feedback, in the form of “Comments.” We hope this tool will facilitate non-anonymous, threaded community discussions concerning the content, conclusions, and implications of published articles.

To add a comment about a particular article, go to the page that shows the full text of the article, type your comment into the blank Comments box in the right-hand column, click Preview, if desired, and then Add.  To view all of the comments posted (arranged in the order in which they were posted), simply scroll down the page.

PROVIDING FEEDBACK & SUGGESTIONS TO CROSS-CURRENTS

We welcome your feedback on any aspect of the Cross-Currents web site’s design, functionality or content. Recommendations for recent books and exhibitions that you would like to see reviewed are also helpful to us. To reach the Managing Editor, please email <crosscurrents@berkeley.edu> or call 510-643-3378.
