Skeleton Frame of a Soviet Building in Ushtobe

Ushtobe, Kazakhstan, December 2014

This building is across the street from a cultural center where the Korean Theater used to perform. The theater moved to Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan, in 1968, along with many Koreans seeking financial success and social mobility. As the population moved to the capital, many buildings like these have become abandoned.
