Animal Skull at Seoul Hotel

Resurrection City: The Scale of Seoul's Urban Renewal Process

Animal Skull at Seoul Hotel

Construction of the Gran Seoul building along Jongno, a busy east-west thoroughfare, required the removal of the Seoul Hotel. Standing about thirteen stories tall, the building was left abandoned but fully furnished for well over a year before demolition. Urban explorers sometimes encounter surprises at abandoned sites. On one such visit we were amazed to find a bag containing an animal skull on the stairs to the former hotel’s side entrance.
