Buddhist ceremony

The exact purpose of this elaborate Tibetan Buddhist ceremony was not noted by Bernard, but it appears to be taking place in front of the famous Shakyamuni statue in Lhasa's Jokhang Temple. The lamas on raised seats are wearing Tantric crowns representing the five buddha-families, or inborn factors of the Buddha-nature inherent in everyone.
